My influence: SPARKLE & GLITTER & SHINIES! WHEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! Oh and the glitter name was inspired by one of my favorite bands ever!! .. no ... really.. go ahead.. click on my bio... I'll wait here. :) so I just had to use this one in my look!

My influence: Uh.. a butterfly of course! :D I used a lot of duochromes and glitter because I think butterflies are just so pretty and ethereal. I think this look pretty much speaks for itself. So I'll just let it do the talking this time. Hope you guys enjoy this look! Let me know what you think in the comments below!

My influence: Amy Lee. What a goddess she is! She is generally very light with her makeup aside from a bit of eyeliner.. so I used these photos from a google search and VAMPED up the color (get it.. haha.. instead of amped.. ok ok.. ill shut up now with my lame puns now.) I wanted something a teeny bit more gothy and dark. I really wish I had the skill to get my foundation to look like the photo of her. I would be happy if you guys have suggestions for me! :D

Please excuse my really rosy cheeks. I get really red in the face sometimes and while I finally found a foundation I would love to have that would actually match my coloring. I just can't afford to import it at the moment. (Not to mention the concealer has been sold out in the right shade I need for a month now)...

 I know the challenge technically doesn't start until tomorrow, but this was the only time I had to get this done so.. yeah.. here ya go! :D

My influence: Diablo III. I first played Diablo on the Playstation. (In fact I still have that disc laying around here somewhere). Its a hack and slash / dungeon crawler style RPG.I've waited 11 long years for this 3rd installment of Diablo to be released and so I stayed up on the night of May 15th 2012 for its launch. . . Say hello to my friend error 37. I continued to be bugged for the remainder of the 15th. I think I got all of about 20 mins of gameplay. But it seems to be working fine now. :D I wanted my look to be dark and demonic. I think I've achieved that. BTW.. My photos are not "shopped", I just rolled my eyes back and snapped a pic. I think it looks uber freaky. Enjoy.

Saved my favorite photo for last! :D So.... what do you think? I'd love to do more game inspired looks. I had SO many ideas for this weeks challenge.

My influence: I call this look  Fire the Taupe-edos! or Taupe Gun! LoL.. I could go on an on with these taupe puns.. so my influence was just the awesome taupes I have! I've been doing this look or something similar as my go to look lately. It can be pretty much worn anywhere and with my glasses on, I appear to just look put together.


I don't have a ton of taupes, yet..  I'm slowly getting more & more. I love their versatility. And with the amazing taupes with color shifts and duochromes the indie companies keep revealing.. it not only keeps things more interesting to a color fiend like me.. but to be completely honest... I don't even know if I would have ever touched a neutral without their wonderful mad scientistry.. .. so that's pretty cool! :D okay okay. without further babbling .. Here's my look!

You can see what it looks more like IRL here. The pretty blue/green duo & sparkles this taupe has. I LOVE it.

My influence: The unusual 70 degree weather Seattle has been having the past 2 days and BRIGHT pastel colored makeup. Since the makeup colors were a huge part of my inspiration for this look I'm going to actually list them below for this challenge.

Eyes gradient from Inner corner to Outer:
Evil Shades : Steele Green
Evil Shades : Faerie Dreams
Evil Shades : Spellcaster
BFTE : Starstruck (also used in lower lash line)

My Pretty Zombie : Mng #3 - Crease
My Pretty Zombie : Unicorn Pee - Highlight & under crease color.

Lips:
Wet n Wild : Pinkerbell (matte lipstick)
Darling Girl : Pinky Swear Liquid Kiss (top glaze)

BTW.. I absolutely ADORE this lip color combo. I've been wearing it the past week now, and think its perfect for spring. Oh! And about those new Wnw matte lippies while I'm thinking about it. I really love gloss over them. Yes, its partially because.. I'm just a gloss type of girl, (I like shinies >.<) but.. I'm also a habitual "maw-er" you know... constantly rubbing my lips together when I have anything on them.. this RUINS the finish of matte lipstick, and I end up having to take it completely off and reapply it. But, I find if I add a layer of gloss over the top of it, my lips glide smoothly and I end up with a better looking lip for longer.. (Yes this does affect the wear time. But I'm okay with that ) :D Hope this helps someone out there like me!

My influence:
A yellow and orange rose. .. and of course the Donovan song "They call me mellow yellow.... Quite Rightly" ran through my head the entire time I applied this makeup. I will say this for this week.. it was certainly a challenge for me. I'm not a fan of yellow. I like it in tiny doses.. thrown in just for a spot of color.. I don't think it looks good with my skin tone (accentuates redness) , and to be quite honest.. I'm not exactly thrilled with how this looks. However.. I did try my best, and decided that was enough to at least show it to you guys anyway. Anyone have any tips for a yellow-phobic makeup user? LoL! Thanks for looking!
