Glamour Girls POTW!

I'm very excited this week! It's my turn for Darling Girl Cosmetics' Pick of the Week!
This means I get to choose one of my most favorite shades to go on sale for all of you beauties to purchase this week! :D

My pick of the week is : 

Verdant Dream
Verdant Dream is one of my all time favorite DGC pigments. It's just stunning. If you don't own this one, you are surely missing out. SO hard to capture its beauty on camera.. It's a beautiful mint green that has a beautiful violet sheen and sometimes even looks like its shifting to a soft powder blue.

I was inspired to do this look by the upcoming holiday... Saint Patrick's Day ! I did a lovely mix of green shades with a wee bit o' gold , which no leprechaun would be caught dead without. ;)

My swatches don't do it justice, but I tried...  Hehe. Hey.. that reminds me.. make sure you all tell my husband how much I NEED a new camera and maybe I'll get one for Christmas this year or something :D So have you bought your awesomely discounted jar of Verdant Dream yet? EOTD 04.24.11

Hi there.

This was my look for Easter. I was inspired by the vibrant colors of jelly beans! :D I don't honestly think this look is wearable, but it was so much fun! Thanks for looking!

Jelly Bean Eyes

All colors used were from the CS 88 original palette. Over NYX jumbo pencil in Milk. 

I also ran over to Walgreens to take advantage of Wet N Wilds 69 cent sale. All their products that are regularly 99 cents are currently on sale till late May. Im not exactly sure of the date it ends. However the Walgreens closest to my home was picked pretty bare. I only got 3 things, two of which I wore with this look.  I got the black eyeliner pencil and this lippie.

This is 505A Light Berry Frost Lip Stick. Its a nice bright fuchsia with a blue sparkle! Very pretty. Im happy with the feel of it on my lips. Its very creamy, however I can't vouch for the longevity of the wear as I didn't wear it very long.

I hope you all had a great weekend! I've been playing a TON of Rift lately, and before that I had houseguests for about 2 weeks. Hopefully, I will get back into the swing of things. Love Is in the Air

Hey again.

One more night with long hair, and my anticipation is at an all time high. :D I can't wait to donate tomorrow! So I decided to spend my down time tonight creating a LOVE inspired look for a contest being held right now by the absolutely lovely StellaStarish !  You can check out the giveaway deets here: StellaStarish/Thirty-one Gifts Giveaway .

I just wanted to share with you all the look I created for the contest. I've NEVER done something this extravagant as far as makeup, I usually just do colorful eyes. But this was a blast so I might try my hand at something like this again in the future. The look I've created I've called "The Secret Admirer" , let me know what you guys think!

Holidays

So, I've kinda been AFK awhile longer than expected. Sorry about that. The holidays were great, spent some time with visiting family. Enjoyed ringing in the new year with my sister and her kiddos which was awesome. ( I had honestly planned to end up spending it all alone as the Mister had to work into the wee hours of the morning that day) So spending it with them was a treat.

I had originally planned on doing an EOTD for you guys today, however my face had plans of its own.  I have some weirdness going on with my eye lids and under eye area. Its BRIGHT red, itchy in places and extremely swollen today. I am totally baffled as to why, I have been lazy and haven't worn anything but moisturizer for the last week or so on my face so I know its not a product irritation. So I really have no idea what else it could be other than perhaps just a really dry skin day or something. Anyway, I'm hoping to return to some normalcy soon.

I also happened to win a contest right before the new year.. more on that when the goodies arrive! So excited to share that.

And I'll be sharing and updating a lot more as soon as my birthday is over and done with on the 10th. No more holidays for awhile after that, so I should have quite a bit more free time.
