Darling Girls POTW 3! Jack's Lantern

This is my favorite time of year. The chill in the air, the smell of wet dirt and concrete. PUMPKIN ALL THE THINGS!!! The excitement of holidays to come. It's magical. I know Halloween is still a few weeks off but my pick this week was certainly influenced by it. I was originally going to do something a little more art than wearable. I mean, tis the season! But.. I ended up with something I consider tame, and very wearable.

POTW means I get to choose one of my most favorite shades to go on SALE for all of you beauties to purchase this week only!

Jack's Lantern

This is a must have, staple DG shade. It's a gorgeous blackened purple with a coppery shimmer & metallic reddish-purple glow. I think it's just perfect for fall.

I'd like to take a moment to say sorry for my absence. I really do miss blogging. But I am in serious need of a new camera. The one I have makes it VERY difficult to blog, and so I end up procrastinating and not doing it at all because it's a pain. I mean, this blog was created for me to enjoy and have fun doing right? :D I am asking Santa Claus for a new camera for Christmas and hoping to be getting back to blogging regularly very soon. I miss you guys!

My influence: Uh.. a butterfly of course! :D I used a lot of duochromes and glitter because I think butterflies are just so pretty and ethereal. I think this look pretty much speaks for itself. Good News Everyone! A new EOTD!

Hi there! I've been kinda lacking on showing you guys my EOTD lately. Partially because my husband just started a new job, so we are hardcore budgeting, so I'm barely leaving the house! LoL.. This means less makeup wearing and more house cleaning, haha! I'm sure we've all been here right? The other reason is that I just keep finding myself drawn to those shifting taupes and Im basically doing the same eye over and over again. SO instead of boring you with the same thing all the time. I decided I would do something different, even if it was just a midnight jaunt to Walmart.

Good News Everyone! A new EOTD!

Today's eye started with a little inspiration from Nicki Minaj. I first saw it looking for inspiration for my last look. HOLY MOLY.. have you seen the way she wears yellow? Yeah.. that's my AWE face. LOL! I don't generally take inspiration from celebrities. But when I saw that blue/ purple gradient from her Super Bass video my heart skipped a beat. This is just inspired by her look, I don't have professional MUA skills plus I don't have any mattes, so instead I used lots of shimmery metallics and glitters. It looks really sparkly and pretty in person. However my photography skills have yet to improve enough to capture the beauty of holo glitter on camera.. but believe me when I say the portion of this look that includes unicorn pee is a FABULOUS GLITTER BOMB! :D

So hope your weekends are going well. Mine is going pretty good too thanks! The power company is coming in and doing some work on Tuesday this week. This means at minimum the power will be off for 8 hours. So my question for you all is WHAT the heck do you do when the power is out? I need lots of ideas! That's a long time without heat, heated food, light, internet, etc... Thanks for looking! 

EOTD 12.16.11 Belated 1st Blogiversary

Good News Everyone! A new EOTD!

So yeah.. I missed my 1 year Blogiversary. /sigh.. (Bad Jeni, bad blogger!)  It was 2 days ago, but meh.. I've been not really feeling up to doing my makeup lately. I have depression and serious amounts of fatigue something fierce right now. I have a lot of negative personal things going on in my life at the moment, but what doesn't kill us makes us stronger... right? After applying my eyeshadow no more than 5 different times today... all were utter failures, I decided to do something purple. Its my favorite color and that in itself made me grin. Hysteric is freaking gorgeous! The turquoise sparkles in it are to die for. I also added some Paperdoll to not only help blend my colors toegther, but it has the prettiest dark purple sparklies in it also. :D  I think this turned out well considering I'm so out of practice lately.

Turquoise Sparkles, how beautiful are you?!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you all are having a very happy holiday season! I would have really loved to have done a giveaway for all you beautiful beasties out there, but I'm struggling just to keep my home right now. It'll just have to wait till we are back on our feet. We have sacrifcied everything from Christmas to my medication just to stay afloat. Its a tough road don't get me wrong. I know we have ALL shared times of struggle, but things DO get better if we just hang in there. I am so thankful for many things. Today I wanted something purple and pink. Pretty and feminine. I'm getting inspired with all these beautiful breast cancer awareness pink eye looks lately! I just couldn't help myself! I loved how this turned out. My husband even said... "Eye of the day, that's so pretty it should be eye of the month!" :D I think if HE'S noticing, it's gotta be a good one right? LoL!
