NTMS: Butterflies

Never Too Much Sparkle Facebook Group Challenge:
Theme: BUTTERFLIES

For Challenges I'm not going to list off products used. It will just be a photo entry for the most part and how I was influenced by the challenge. If you are curious about a particular item I used, please feel free to comment below and I'll do my best to answer!

My influence: Uh.. a butterfly of course! :D I used a lot of duochromes and glitter because I think butterflies are just so pretty and ethereal. I think this look pretty much speaks for itself. So I'll just let it do the talking this time. Hope you guys enjoy this look! Let me know what you think in the comments below!

06.22.12 EOTD Steampunk Clock

Good News Everyone! A new EOTD!

Today I was inspired by the wondrous world of Steampunk. I was also inspired by the beautifully sparkly Geek Chic shadows I have. I was looking through my stash and thought these colors would be cool with some sort of really interesting liner, and so I made the little clock hands. I was going to add numerals to the clock.. just a few of them.. but I think I really love how this is a bit more subtle. If I had a tiny bit more artistic talent I would have tried for gears too.... but you guys know how unforgiving black liquid liner is! ;) Maybe we'll shoot for that next time...  Hope you enjoy this look as much as I do!

What I used:
Geek Chic Cosmetics: Eyes of the Werewolf - inner 1/2 lid & inner lower lash line
Geek Chic Cosmetics: The Pointy End - outer 1/2 lid
Geek Chic Cosmetics: Ugghhh...Brains - blended just above the crease & outer lower lash line
Geek Chic Cosmetics: Mana Battery - Highlight & inner corner
Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express Mascara: Black Drama
ELF Liquid Eyeliner: #4203 black - eyeliner + clock hands
Milani Liquif'eye Metallic Eye Liner Pencil: 01 Black - waterline

Lips: Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter : Peach Parfait

Oh mah goodness.. my bangs seriously need a trim! :D Hope you guys are having a great weekend! The question of the day is : What do you think of creative liner? Do you think its wearable or just something fun for costuming? Comment below and let me know what you think!

06.10.12 EOTD Muddy Runaway Corpse

Good News Everyone! A new EOTD!

Hey guys! I was in a really awful mood this weekend. Turns out my car is broken beyond repair and its a really hard blow for us because we are a single car family, and this is the only way my husband has to get to work and for us to go anywhere really. We needed to go out quickly for some groceries (thankfully a family member is allowing us to borrow a vehicle atm) .. this weekend, so I threw this on. The full face photos really didn't turn out, but I'm sure it had mostly to do with the terrible mood I was in. So .. I apologize for that. But I really hope you guys still enjoy the look just the same! :D

What I used:
Darling Girl Cosmetics: Muddy Waters - lid
Moi Minerals: RunAway  - crease
Coastal Scents 88 Palette (original) : Dark Brown - Outer V (&blended into the crease area)
Coastal Scents 88 Palette (original) : White - Highlight
Darling Girl Cosmetics: Corpse Candle -Highlight (sparklies) & inner corner
Moi Minerals: Zim - Lower lash line (2/3rds from outside edge)
Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express Mascara: Black Drama
Milani Infinite Liquid Eye Liner: 05 Everlast - liner & wing
Milani Liquif'eye Metallic Eye Liner Pencil: 01 Black - waterline

Lips: Brazen : Peep Show on top of Haus of Gloi: Banana Lip Balm (I wanted Peep Show to be a bit more sheer/less sticky )

.... After mashing my lips together too many times my lip choice didn't really pan out ... I eventually switched to my favorite gloss which atm happens to be: Milani 3D glitzy glamour gloss in Fashion Diva (No photos of this look with this lippie though sorry!)

To show  which colors I used from the 88 Palette

NTMS: Ladies Of Rock

Never Too Much Sparkle Facebook Group Challenge:
Theme: LADIES OF ROCK!!!

For Challenges I'm not going to list off products used. It will just be a photo entry for the most part and how I was influenced by the challenge. If you are curious about a particular item I used, please feel free to comment below and I'll do my best to answer!

My influence: Amy Lee. What a goddess she is! She is generally very light with her makeup aside from a bit of eyeliner.. so I used these photos from a google search and VAMPED up the color (get it.. haha.. instead of amped.. ok ok.. ill shut up now with my lame puns now.) I wanted something a teeny bit more gothy and dark. I really wish I had the skill to get my foundation to look like the photo of her. I would be happy if you guys have suggestions for me! :D

*courtesy of Google Image search
Please excuse my really rosy cheeks. I get really red in the face sometimes and while I finally found a foundation I would love to have that would actually match my coloring. I just can't afford to import it at the moment. (Not to mention the concealer has been sold out in the right shade I need for a month now)...

I know the challenge technically doesn't start until tomorrow, but this was the only time I had to get this done so.. yeah.. here ya go! :D
