Evil Shades Swatches (Part 2) : Blush & Eyeshadow

So cute! I took way too many photos of these little guys!
Hi there!
So today I don't really have much to say. But I have lots of pretty photos for you guys to look at! :D Here's the finale of my Evil Shades sample stash. And awayyyyyy we go!

As you can see Evil Shades eyeshadow samples come in clamshells.
I will show you the blush first. I'm not much of a blush wearer to be honest with you all. I have really fair skin, and when I do wear it, its next to nothing or it looks "clownish" on me. I decided to try out 4 relatively light/sparkly shades.
Evil Shades Blush : on bare skin. top swatch : heavy application, bottom swatch : lightly blended out.

Now... Onto the eyeshadows I picked out. I wanted a variety of bold colors, and that's exactly what I got. All swatches are done over e.l.f. 1$ Primer.. which I despise.. I was just using it for swatches to get rid of it.
Evil Shades Eyeshadow : Over e.l.f. Sheer Eyelid Primer (1$)

Soft Focus for sparkly goodness

I really loved all the colors I received, but I think my top 2 favorites were Moirae & Zombie. Here is a look I did using them in combination.

So... see anything you have to have from Evil Shades? Am I missing any MUST HAVE colors? Let me know! See ya again soon!

Evil Shades Swatches (Part 1) : Lippies

This post has been a long time in the making. I've been under quite a bit of stress in my personal life. Having some difficulty with my health, but hoping to be on the path to getting back to "normal" soon. I thought you guys would enjoy this. Awhile back I ordered a bunch of samples from the MAGNIFICENT and MARVELOUS Evil Shades. I am just blown away by the formulas of her products , and the fine attention to detail. This branding screams out to me and I can identify with the cutesy goth girl on the packaging. As far as lip products go, I can safely say that most typically I'm a "gloss girl". The same rings true here. Don't get me wrong, her lipsticks are wonderful, smooth and buttery, and highly pigmented.. it's honestly just a personal preference. My favorite out of the entire bunch was Hardcore Lips in Lost Kiss, followed by Deviant lipstick in Bane. A close third.. to my surprise was Devious Virtue. I've NEVER worn such a neutral shade on my lips.. but really found myself enjoying this one.  My swatches are okay at best, some shades I got better photos of than others. My hope is to just give you an idea of what they look like. Enjoy!

Swatches:
natural light
taken with flash / soft focus for glittery goodness
Lip Swatches:
Bane : Sometimes I like to do "cut-out" lips to show what it looks like without my skin tone affecting the color. (However, there is no stopping my lips natural color from having an effect on the overall shade)
Devious Virtue
Felines Kyss
Corset
Fearless (IRL a little "pinker" than shown, the arm swatch more closely represents this shade. This one was TOUGH to photograph for me, and wore more "red" than pink on my lips for some reason.)

Overall I think these lippies are tops. I can't wait to place another order to try some more out! (Gotta get a full size of Lost Kiss too!! ) :D Do you have any ES lippies? Do you have any suggestions for my next order? Thanks for stopping by!

EOTD 03.08.12 Sweet n Spicy Truffle

Good News Everyone! A new EOTD!

Today I was feeling kinda "normal". I wanted something really pretty, neutral, and sweet. Then I remembered a really great mini collection from Beauty From the Earth. Its called The Blushing Bride and I thought it would be perfect for today. I had most of the colors so I thought I'd give it a go.

What I used:
TFSI - Primer
Beauty From the Earth: Beautiful - Highlight
Beauty From the Earth: Sweet n Spicy - all over lid & inner 1/2 lower lash line
Beauty From the Earth: Truffle - crease (slightly heavier in outer Vee) & outer 1/2 lower lash line
Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express Mascara: Very Black
ELF Liquid Eyeliner: #4203 black - eyeliner + wing
Milani Liquif'eye Metallic Eye Liner Pencil: 01 Black - waterline
Evil Shades Cosmetics: Feline's Kyss - lips

I wear glasses, so I thought I'd show you guys what it looked like with them on.
I think this turned out alright. Although I wish I would have stayed in my true crease. Because my eyes are fairly hooded, I tend to do a faux crease up above my natural crease line to make it look like I've got larger lids than I actually do. Most of the time this method works pretty well for me.. but compared to the original look. I really think the original wins hands down here. Which I think was done by The Daily Glamour. So thanks for looking today guys. Hope your week went well. What are your plans for this weekend? Don't forget to spring fwd on Saturday night (early Sunday morning) here in (most states) of the US. :D

So yesterday morning I was listening to one of my Pandora Stations and this song came on. Swamp Song by Tool. Lets start off by saying that I think Maynard is a lyrical mastermind. I adore Tool, always have. I wanted something swampy, dark and full of angst today because of this song. Hope you all enjoy!

Parental Advisory: Explicit Lyrics

What I used:
Hi Fi Cosmetics: Suicide Trees - outer and inner vee, as well as outer and inner lower lash line
Geek Chic Cosmetics: Ugghhh...Brains - inner lid & inner lower lash line
Geek Chic Cosmetics: Mana Battery - Highlight
Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express Mascara: Very Black
ELF Liquid Eyeliner: #4203 black - eyeliner + wing
Milani Liquif'eye Metallic Eye Liner Pencil: 01 Black - waterline
Evil Shades: Corset - lips

EOTD 10.07.11 Candy Corn

Good News Everyone! A New EOTD!

Yeah.. I know you've seen this kinda thing a million times before. Well.. I have too, but I've never done it. So here's my version of the pretty candy corn eyes. The liner wing is suppose to represent the curved bottoms of the candy corns, I think it looks neat close up (which was how I was applying my makeup with my magnified mirror) but.. I think from a distance the wing isn't so cute. I think I just over all prefer a pointier wing. The idea of why its there, and why its curved like that kinda gets lost from further a way.. but oh well. Now I know.. and knowing is half the battle. Go Joe!

What I used:
2FSI - Primer
Evil Shades Spectrum Pot: Vitrum - white base
BFTE: Crystal - inner corner/ inner 1/3 lid
Evil Shades: Mad People - mid 1/3 lid
BFTE: Lemon - outer 1/3 lid
Maybelline Expert Eyes Quad: Urban Scene (White matte from top right) - Highlight
ELF Liquid Eyeliner: #00908 black - eyeliner + wing
Wet n Wild Color Icon eyeliner pencil : 656A (White) - waterline
Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express Mascara: Very Black
Brazen Cosmetics Lipglaze: Make Out (I put it over a clear lipgloss so it's more opaque than this shows here)

Thanks for takin' a peak at my candy coated eyes today! I think my  favorite Halloween candy has to be black jelly beans. I just adore them. Sugary anise/ black licorice has to be one of my all time favorite smells also. Anyone out there know of any perfumeries that carry something that is riddled heavy with sweet sugary anise notes? What is YOUR favorite Halloween candy?

EOTD 10.05.11 Moist Manson

Good News Everyone! A new EOTD!

Today's EOTD is one that was inspired by ... yeah... halloween! :D Im kinda bummed the beautiful purple sparkles didn't show up at all in Manson. I wonder why? I think I need some sort of glitter sticking medium down first?

What I used :
TFSI- Primer
My Pretty Zombie: Moist - all over lid
Black Rose Minerals: Manson - crease
Evil Shades: Steele Green - inner corner & up to highlight
Maybelline Expert Eyes Quad: Urban Scene (White matte from top right) - Highlight
ELF Liquid Eyeliner: #00908 black - 1/4 line top eyeliner +wing
Ardell Accents Lashes: #305
Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express Mascara: Very Black
Evil Shades: Corset - Lips

I love the fall. I'm so happy its finally here! :D The leaves are changing to pretty colors and everything is a bit chilly and grey and wet! So do any of you have any ideas or suggestions on what to use for glittery shadows? I've heard about Pixie Epoxy and just can't seem to get my hands on any, what about that L.A. Splash stuff has anyone tried it out? Let me know thanks guys! :D I know I don't do full special effects Halloween makeup.. but would you guys like to see more dark/dramatic "wearable" makeup like this?  Thanks for reading you beautiful beasties! /hugs all around!
